One of Richard Hadar’s early investments was all-cash purchase of land zoned for a hotel and shopping center next to the Woodbury Commons Outlet Mall in Woodbury, New York. Hadar then committed more cash to develop the property and to guarantee the construction mortgage. After leasing the center with nationally recognized retailers and local merchants, he sold the center and the hotel development site at the ideal time before the market crash of 2007, optimizing his return on investment.
